He can take the next step toward taking the torch as the league's best tight end if he can surpa s 1,000 yards in 2024.TE2: Brock WrightIt looked like the Lions may lose Wright after the surprisingly signed him to an offer sheet, but Detroit ended up matching the , keeping Wright in Motown.Wright is a solid No. 2 tight end, as he's a reliable pa s-catcher who can also block. He certainly isn't the playmaker LaPorta is, but the Logan Thomas Jersey Lions could do a lot worse than the quality backup Wright is, and he's an excellent complement to the young tight end.TE3: James MitchellMitchell isn't a lock to make the 53-man roster, but his upside as a pa s-catcher gives him a better chance than most. However, that's based off a very small sample size Deshazor Everett Jersey (340 offensive snaps, 13 catches over two seasons) and Mitchell left a lot to be desired as a blocker last season.Granted, he did tally a solid pa s-blocking grade of 74.4 in 2023, but that was in just 14 pa s-blocking snaps. More importantly, Mitchell struggled with run-blocking, posting a dreadful grade of 46.0.Mitchell's biggest competition for this spot is Shane Zylstra, who is coming back from a torn ACL.
